Team Communication

Recipients of the Team Communications badge from the Georgie G. Snyder Center for Business Communication (Rawls College of Business) have demonstrated excellence in using communication to strengthen teamwork and productivity. - Learners will demonstrate emotional intelligence by working positively and productively with others in a team setting. - Learners will demonstrate their ability to collaborate with others in the creation of a written report and/or business presentation. - Learners will demonstrate leadership, organization, and time management by working with their project group to define roles and responsibilities, establish internal deadlines and progress measures, and outline a communication strategy.

- Participation in 2 CBC workshops: CBC workshops will provide greater understanding of, and practice with, communication skills that are important to success in the business community and applicable to a variety of situations. Workshops will cover a variety of special topics and concerns related to written, verbal, and interpersonal communication. - Participation in 2 team consultations with the CBC: These consultations will provide individualized instruction to the project group to assist them with team building and/or with the development of a written report or business presentation.

Learners will demonstrate their mastery of team communication by earning a 90+ on a group project in a Rawls College course; by holding a leadership position in a club, organization, or job for at least 3 months; or by receiving a recommendation from a Rawls College faculty member who endorses their ability to work well within a team setting.
