Global Business Explorer
The Global Business Explorer Microcredential, offered by the Rawls Center for Global Engagement, recognizes students who complete a TTU-approved study abroad program and begin developing essential global competencies. This entry-level badge highlights growth in intercultural communication, global citizenship, cross-cultural problem-solving, and self-awareness. To earn the badge, students must participate in a TTU-approved program, attend required pre- and post-trip events, and complete a Global Business Learning Portfolio, including a reflection, self-assessments, a future goals statement, and demonstrated proficiency in at least three of four global learning areas. Final approval from the program leader or instructor is required. This badge is a great way to showcase emerging global skills to employers and graduate programs.

Earning Criteria
Required
To earn the badge, students must complete a study abroad program, attend required sessions, and submit a Global Learning Portfolio that includes a self-reflection, skills self-assessment, and future goals statement.
Optional
Final approval is granted by program leaders based on demonstrated growth across global learning outcomes such: Adapts fluently and communicates with empathy across cultural contexts, connects global issues to personal responsibility, demonstrates strong cultural analysis and flexible, ethical decision-making, demonstrates deep insight and sets intentional goals for future global engagement.
